NCAA Game Summary - Cal Poly at Nevada

DJ Fenner scored 12 points and pulled down six rebounds in leading the Nevada Wolf Pack to a 65-49 triumph over the Cal Poly Mustangs in a non-conference joust at Lawlor Events Center.

Marqueze Coleman added 11 points and Michael Perez had 10 for Nevada (1-0). AJ West only scored six points, but he had eight rebounds and six blocks in the winning effort.

Reese Morgan finished with 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench and David Nwaba netted 11 for Cal Poly (0-1).

It was Cal Poly that led, 27-26, at halftime. Although the Mustangs only connected on 36.7 percent in the first period, they held the Wolf Pack to 30.8 percent shooting.

Nevada woke up after the break, heating up to an even 50 percent shooting effort to pull away from Cal Poly, which had only seven field goals in the final 20 minutes.

The game featured four ties and five lead changes. Nevada had a 43-39 edge on the glass.
