NHL Winter Classic jerseys unveiled by Blackhawks

The Blackhawks took to Twitter on Wednesday to show off the new duds, which the team's president and CEO, John McDonough called a "throwback to 1957."

CHICAGO, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- The Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday debuted their special-edition jerseys for the NHL Winter Classic game against the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals are set to host the Blackhawks on the annual New Year's Day outdoor spectacle at Nationals Park.

It's a tradition for the two teams playing in this game to launch special-edition jerseys befitting the old-school charm of an outdoor hockey game.
