NEW YORK, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- New York Jets player Eric Decker was trying to rally some team morale Wednesday after explaining his team's loss to the Bills by saying, "We're not a bad football team, we just do stupid stuff."

He tried a different tack and asked Jets fans to explain why they love their team on Twitter.

Twitter responded, and since the Jets are 1-7, the responses were predictably hilarious. User @conor_heraty wrote "I love the Jets because they are consistent. They let me down week after week."

His wife Jessie James Decker quickly sprung to her husband's defense against all the sarcastic "haters" and said their "life is pretty good."
