LOS ANGELES, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Lolo Jones said she's praying for fellow Olympian Oscar Pistorius days after he was sentenced to five years in prison for the shooting death of his girlfriend.

Jones told TMZ that while she doesn't know all the details of the case — Pistorius was convicted in September of culpable homicide after shooting Reeva Steenkamp to death in 2013 — she prays for both families.

"It's hard for me because I actually have a dad who was in prison for murder," she said.

"I'm one of the most nonjudgmental people," Jones added. "There's two sides to the story."

She said she prays for both families because Steenkamp's family is grieving over her death and Pistorius' family is struggling with his imprisonment.

Jones said she hopes Pistorius rehabilitates in prison.

"It's in God's hands," she said.

A judge sentenced Pistorius to five years in prison on Tuesday. The paralympian's lawyer said he expects Pistorius to serve about six months in prison before being placed on house arrest.
