FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick sent his cornerback Darrelle Revis home after he showed up late to practice Thursday morning, showing no one slides on Belichick's rules.

Belichick has a very strict rule: If you're going to be late, you need to call and it better be with an explanation about an emergency -- blizzards do not even count.

Revis found out how strict that rule is when he overslept and was late. When he got to practice, Belichick turned him arounds and sent him back home.

There were no hard feelings though. Revis was "sincerely contrite" and returned that afternoon to apologize.
