Pirates agree to minor league deal with Stinson

The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a minor league contract with pitcher Josh Stinson.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it also includes an invitation to spring training for 2015.

Stinson was on the opening day roster of the Baltimore Orioles last year and made seven appearances out of the bullpen before a demotion to Triple-A Norfolk in late April. He returned to Baltimore for one game in June and overall had a 6.23 ERA in eight appearances.

The 26-year-old right-hander has a record of 0-2 with a 4.47 ERA in 39 games in parts of four big league seasons with Mets, Brewers and Orioles.
