HOUSTON, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Montgomery County, Texas, prosecutors are now seeking to have Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson re-arrested.
Brett Ligon, Montgomery County district attorney, filed paperwork on Thursday to have the running back's bail revoked.
Peterson is currently out on $15,000 bail on child abuse charges.
Prosecutors say he hit his 4-year-old son with a switch, that left a cut above the child's eye.
According to multiple sources, Peterson admitted to smoking "a little weed" to the person conducing a urinalysis after appearing in court on Wednesday.
Peterson's trial is tentatively set for Dec. 1.
However, no hearing can take place to have the running back's bail revoked until next week because the judge presiding over the case -- Judge Kelly Case -- is facing a recusal hearing Friday morning.
That's because during Wednesday's hearing, the prosecutor County Attorney Brett Ligon -- asked the judge to apologize and recuse himself after making unflattering remarks about himself and Peterson's attorney Rusty Hardin.
If convicted, Peterson could face between six months and 12 years in prison.
