Dodgers go with 12 pitchers for NLDS

The Los Angeles Dodgers will have 12 pitchers available for the start of the National League Division Series against St. Louis.

There was speculation earlier this week concerning Hyun-Jin Ryu, but Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said the lefty would be the starter for Game 3 despite a shoulder injury that has kept him out since Sept. 12.

Ryu will follow Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke in the rotation. Kershaw is expected to start a Game 4, if necessary.

Dan Haren, part of the rotation during the season, will be part of a bullpen that also features closer Kenley Jansen, right-handers Pedro Baez, Carlos Frias, Brandon League, Brian Wilson and Jamey Wright, as well as lefties Scott Elbert and J.P. Howell.

The position players include catchers A.J. Ellis and Drew Butera, infielders Adrian Gonzalez, Dee Gordon, Hanley Ramirez, Juan Uribe, Justin Turner and Miguel Rojas, as well as outfielders Carl Crawford, Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier and Scott Van Slyke.
