Saints' Colston joins Soul ownership group

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston is letting his Soul glow.

The nine-year NFL veteran was added to the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul ownership group on Thursday.

"Adding Marques only elevates our already strong ownership group and organization," said Soul Co-Majority Owner and NFL analyst, Ron Jaworski. "He clearly has a vision of 'life after football' and is serious about his involvement with the business side of sports. Marques is a champion on the field and shares our core values and drive to be the best on and off the field."

It was not announced how much Colston paid to become part of the ownership group or if another agreement was reached. He joins the existing ownership group which consists of Craig Spencer, Jaworski, Pete Ciarrocchi, Cosmo DeNicola and Marty Judge.

"I'm excited to join not only a great group of men that I am now proud call my new business partners, but also an organization that is committed to excellence," said Colston. "The Arena Football League is an amazing product with top notch football talent. I look forward to working with my partners, our players, the staff, our corporate partners, the season ticket holders and fans to continue to make the Soul the premier organization in the league."

Colston, who currently resides in Medford, NJ, is the Saints' all-time franchise leader in receiving yards (8,522), yards from scrimmage (8,529), receiving touchdowns (64), total touchdowns (64), and total receptions (619).

Colston is also the majority owner, president and general manager of his hometown Harrisburg Stampede, currently of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL). He is intimately involved with managing both business and football operations for the team.
