Fisher names Davis starting QB for Rams

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher named Austin Davis the starting quarterback for not only Week 5's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but also the rest of the season.

The Rams were on a bye last week and with Shaun Hill healthy, Fisher had a decision to make.

In three games this season, Davis has completed 72.3 percent of his passes for 754 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

In Week 3's 34-31 loss to Dallas, Davis completed 30-of-42 passes for 327 yards with three scores and two interceptions.

Hill began the season as the starter after Sam Bradford tore a knee ligament in the preseason and was placed on injured reserve. However, Hill injured his quad in the opener after going 8-of-13 for 81 yards with an interception, forcing Davis into action.
