Detroit Lions' Joseph Fauria sprains ankle chasing puppy

Lil' Rufio "kind of did something bad" and ran away from the tight end, he said in a video posted on the Detroit Lions website.

DETROIT, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- It wasn't a sacking that took Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria down, but a wily and adorable puppy who was resisting house-training.

Fauria was chasing his Pomeranian/Husky mix Lil' Rufio through his home to keep him from relieving himself on the floor when he had a misstep and sprained his ankle.

"My carpet goes to hardwood and I was wearing socks and just put all my weight in my left foot," Fauria said. "It was kind of an agonizing pain."

Fauria was not too angry because it's hard to be mad when Lil' Rufio gives his best "puppy eyes."
