West, the league's most veteran umpire with 37 years of service, will work Wednesday's game between the San Francisco Giants and Pirates in Pittsburgh alongside Doug Eddings, Paul Emmel, Andy Fletcher, Brian Gorman and Mark Wegner.

West was recently suspended for a game for grabbing the jersey of Philadelphia closer Jonathan Papelbon.

MLB announced that Ted Barrett, Jeff Kellogg, Dale Scott and Mike Winters will be crew chiefs for the divisional series starting later this week.
