Cardinals add LB Butler

The Arizona Cardinals signed linebacker Victor Butler on Tuesday.

Butler was with the New Orleans Saints last season but was on the physically unable to perform list with a knee injury. He played four years with the Dallas Cowboys (2009-12) before joining the Saints.

With the Cowboys, Butler had 89 tackles and 11 sacks in 63 games (two starts).

The Cardinals also released linebacker Marcus Benard and punter Drew Butler.
