Prior to the game, Solo was tied for most shutouts by a U.S. team goalkeeper with Brianna Scurry. She broke that tie and set the new record of 72 shutouts in 19 fewer international appearances than Scurry.

The two teams will meet again Thursday at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, N.Y.
