Reds' Schumaker has season-ending shoulder surgery

Cincinnati Reds outfielder/infielder Skip Schumaker will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.

Schumaker, 34, dealt with shoulder injuries throughout his first season in Cincinnati.

He batted .235 with two homers and 22 RBI over 83 games.
