2 Alouettes headline CFL Players of the Week

Montreal Alouettes linebacker Bear Woods and return man James Rodgers were both named CFL Players of the Week on Tuesday.

Running backs Anthony Allen of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Jon Cornish of the Calgary Stampeders were also honored for Week 11.

Allen was named the top offensive performer after rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries in the Roughriders' 30-24 win over Winnipeg.

Woods took home the defensive honor after registering a 10 tackles and two sacks, both career highs, in the Alouettes' 38-31 comeback win over Hamilton.

Rodgers was the standout special teams performer after returning four punts for 100 yards and two kickoffs for 45 yards against Hamilton.

Cornish was named the top Canadian after rushing for 109 yards and a score on 17 carries in the Stampeders' 41-34 win over Edmonton.
