Richards completes Fiorentina loan

Micah Richards secured a season-long loan move to Fiorentina on Monday from Manchester City.

Richards is City's longest-serving player having made his debut in October 2005 and he has appeared in 245 matches for the Citizens, scoring 10 goals and playing a key role in the club capturing the 2011-12 Premier League title.

However, Richards has battled injuries in recent seasons and fallen behind Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna in the pecking order at right back.

The 26-year-old Richards has been capped 13 times by England and he joins Slovenian midfielder Jasmin Kurtic at Fiorentina on Monday after Kurtic agreed to a loan move from Sassuolo.
