WR Brown fails to make Chargers roster

The San Diego Chargers reached the NFL's 53-man roster limit on Saturday by releasing 22 players including veteran wide receiver Vincent Brown, who was waived-injured with a calf problem.

The 25-year-old Brown caught 41 passes for 472 yards and a touchdown in 16 games for the Chargers in 2013. San Diego originally selected him in the third round of the 2011 draft.

The Chargers also released the following players: linebackers Victor Aiyewa, Thomas Keiser, Cordarro Law and Colton Underwood, defensive tackle Chas Alecxih, wide receivers Torrence Allen, Javontee Herndon and Tevin Reese, cornerbacks Crezdon Butler, Greg Ducre, safeties Alden Darby and Adrian Phillips, tight end Michael Flacco, offensive tackles Mike Harris, Jeremiah Sirles and Kenny Wiggins, defensive linemen Joe Kruger and Doug Worthington, quarterback Brad Sorensen, guard Craig Watts and center Khalil Wilkes.
