Josh Johnson threw three touchdown passes to lead the San Francisco 49ers to a 40-13 victory over the Houston Texans in the preseason finale for both teams.
The Niners and Texans split their four tune-up games heading into the regular season, which starts on Sunday, Sept. 7 for both teams.

Blaine Gabbert got the start under center for the Niners and threw a go-ahead touchdown pass to Asante Cleveland in the second quarter, beginning a string of 24 straight points for San Francisco.
Case Keenum nor Tom Savage led Houston's reserves to any touchdowns. Savage had an interception returned for a touchdown by Chris Borland.
San Francisco opens the regular season at Dallas, while Houston hosts Washington.
