Blue Jays P Wagner to have Tommy John surgery

The Blue Jays said Tuesday that right-hander Neil Wagner will have Tommy John surgery next week.

Wagner appeared in 10 games out of the bullpen for Toronto in April and May and was still on the 40-man roster though he had been pitching at Triple-A Buffalo.

His Aug. 19 surgery will be performed by Dr. James Andrews.
