The Minnesota Twins will recall pitcher Trevor May from Triple-A Rochester to start Saturday's game against the Oakland Athletics.

It will be the major league debut for the 24-year-old righty, whom the Twins acquired from Philadelphia in the December 2012 trade that saw Ben Revere head to the Phillies.

May has made 17 starts this season for the Red Wings, going 8-6 with a 2.93 earned run average.

First baseman Chris Colabello was optioned Rochester to clear a roster spot for May. Colabello has hit .229 with six homers and 39 RBI in two stints with the Twins this year.
