CHICAGO, Aug. 7 (UPI) --
White Sox slugger Adam Dunn
decided to change it up Tuesday night and pitch against the Texas Rangers
, nearly hitting shortstop Elvis Andrus
Andrus jumped out of the way just in time, but it was a close call. Dunn was pitching sinkers in the 80 mph range, with only two hits, a walk and a run.
"He's been begging for that for a while," White Sox manager Robin Ventura told ESPN. "You've got to give the fans what they want."
The Texas Rangers beat the White Sox 16-0.
