Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko was eating at Mama Mia's restaurant in Hollywood when former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs approached him.
"I got some word that he was in the neighborhood," Briggs told CBS4. "I live on Hollywood Beach, as well. I was like, 'You know what? Let me drive around.' I drove around. I seen him in the restaurant and it was on."
In a video posted on YouTube, Briggs walks up to Klitschko's table and says, "What's up champ? Wherever you go, I go, Champ. You train, I train, Champ. Let's fight, Champ."
Briggs then sits down and eats Klitschko's lunch.
In a possible attempt to cool the instigator down, the champ grabs a glass of water and dumps it on Briggs' head. It didn't work and a physical altercation began.
The big guys took it outside before the restaurant was ruined.
"I'm the last American heavyweight champion," Briggs said. "I want to show the people that boxing's still alive. Heavyweight boxing is still alive. I'm gonna knock out Wladimir Klitschko. I'm gonna bring the belt back to America."
