NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander spent some of his time in the dugout wooing the ladies when he tossed a ball to his supermodel girlfriend Kate Upton.

Upton sat behind the dugout to be close to her boyfriend during the Tigers game against the New York Yankees. He was spotted chatting with her during the game before he flirtatiously tossed her a baseball which she accepted with a blush.

Verlander didn't pitch Monday night, but he apparently still had plenty of game.
