July 31, 2014 at 5:03 PM   |   Comments

First-round draft picks Jusuf Nurkic and Gary Harris have signed with the Denver Nuggets, the team announced Thursday.

The Nuggets traded the rights to the 11th pick, Creighton star Doug McDermott, to the Chicago Bulls on draft night last month to acquire the rights to Nurkic and Harris.

Nurkic was taken 16th after averaging 11.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 28 games for Cedevita Zagreb of the Adriatic League in 2013-14. The Croatian big man is listed as 7-feet tall by the Nuggets.

Harris, a 6-foot-4 guard, was drafted 19th after becoming only the third player in Michigan State history to score 1,000 points. He averaged 14.9 points in 69 college games.
