Lucas Duda continued his recent tear and Zack Wheeler pitched into the seventh inning, as the New York Mets defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 11-2, in the rubber match of a three-game set Wednesday afternoon at Citi Field.

Daniel Murphy added a three-run homer, finishing 3-for-5 with two runs scored, and Ruben Tejada and Juan Lagares had three hits apiece for the Mets, who have won six of nine.

Duda finished 2-for-5 with a homer, three runs batted in and two runs scored for New York, which has won four straight series at home. The first baseman is riding a modest six-game hitting streak and has driven in at least one run in each contest.

Wheeler (6-8) allowed two runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking two to win his third straight decision. The right-hander has tossed at least six innings in his last six trips to the hill, allowing two runs or fewer each time.

Jimmy Rollins hit a pinch-hit home run and Ryan Howard drove in a run for the Phillies, who have lost eight of 12 to the Mets this season.

Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick (5-11) suffered the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking two over six frames. The right- hander has dropped three of his last four starts (1-3), as Philadelphia lost for only the third time in eight outings overall.
