Browns sign S Jim Leonhard

The Cleveland Browns signed nine-year veteran safety Jim Leonhard on Wednesday.

"It's official," Leonhard announced on Twitter, "I just signed my 8th NFL contract to become a part of the Cleveland Browns."

The Browns later confirmed the signing and also inked offensive lineman Ryan Lee.

Leonhard, 31, had 30 tackles and four interceptions over 16 games for the Buffalo Bills last season, including seven starts.

He has also played for the Broncos, Jets and Ravens and has 302 tackles and 12 interceptions in 126 career games, including 54 over two stints with Buffalo. He has gained a combined 1,246 yards on kick and punt returns.
