Louisiana Derby winner Vicar's in Trouble heads a field of nine 3-year-olds for Saturday's 45th running of the 1 1/8- mile, $750,000 West Virginia Derby at Mountaineer Park.

Owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, Vicar's in Trouble will start from post 4 with Alan Garcia aboard the colt for the first time.

Vicar's in Trouble, trained by Mike Maker, comes into Saturday's race off a third-place finish behind Jessica's Star in the Iowa Derby on May 31. The colt began the year by winning the Lecomte Stakes at Fair Grounds followed by a third in the track's Risen Star Stakes.

After his victory in the Louisiana Derby, Vicar's in Trouble finished last in the 19-horse Kentucky Derby. He has three wins and three thirds in seven lifetime starts for $813,900.

Candy Boy, trained by John Sadler, has drawn the outside post in the nine- horse field with Corey Nakatani back to ride the colt for the first time since the debut start more than 11 months ago.

Owned by C R K Stable, Candy Boy was second to Shared Belief four weeks ago in the Los Alamitos Derby. The colt won the Robert B. Lewis Stakes to begin the year and was third behind California Chrome in the Santa Anita Derby. Candy Boy was sent off at 9-1 but could do no better than 13th in the Kentucky Derby.

Candy Boy has two wins and three seconds in nine career starts for $525,600.
