AKRON, Ohio, July 18 (UPI) -- When an Ohio couple set their wedding date for July 12, 2014, there was no way they could have known it would up being the day after one of the most important dates in state history.

On July 11, LeBron James announced he was bringing his talents back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

To help commemorate both occasions, Nick Jones and Christa Deckard dressed his groomsmen up in James' No. 23 jerseys for a wedding photo for the ages.

In the picture, taken at a church in James' hometown of Akron, Jones copies the NBA star's pregame powder toss while his groomsmen look on.

"I quickly collected my jerseys and we got everything rolling," Jones told FOX Sports. "We pulled the photo off even better than I could expect."

The newly married couple actually attended a Cavaliers game for their third date in 2012, although James was already a member of the Miami Heat at that time.

"Looking back, I knew I'd marry her but had no idea where I'd be and, at that point, I didn't think there was a chance LBJ would be home," Jones said.

Now James is back home and Jones and Deckard are hitched.

"[The] wedding day really was the best day ever," Jones said. "All this is just icing on the cake. LeBron coming home is the best thing that could possibly happen to Cleveland."
