BERLIN, July 14 (UPI) -- World Cup fans celebrated across Berlin Sunday after seeing their country win the final against Argentina in extra time.
They drove in motorcades and danced in the streets after Germany scored the goal that would end the team's 24-year dry spell as champions. It also made them the first European country to win the World Cup in the Americas.
