The San Diego Padres optioned pitcher Jesse Hahn to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.
Hahn, 24, compiled a 2.21 earned run average with a 5-2 record over seven starts this season, his first in the majors.

The right-hander was called up on June 3 from Double-A San Antonio, where he went 2-1 with a 2.11 ERA across 11 games (eight starts) with the Missions.
San Diego also recalled infielder Jace Peterson from El Paso. Peterson hit for a .100 batting average over 23 games earlier this season.
