MIAMI, June 24 (UPI) -- According to a report from ESPN's Chris Broussard, LeBron James will be opting out of his contract with the Miami Heat after four years with the team.

If James does actually exercise the early termination option, that doesn't mean he has to leave Miami because the team could sign him to an even longer deal with more lucrative terms.
However, it might take more than money to keep "The King" in South Beach.

It's unclear what the other members of the "Big Three" will be doing this offseason.

James will join a free agent class that will also include all-star-caliber players like Pau Gasol and Carmelo Anthony. He was scheduled to make $20 million next season.
This Instagram post from LeBron's wife, Savannah James, has led many to speculate that her husband is planning a reunion with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The couple met in Akron, Ohio, as teenagers.
"James did indicate that he welcomed the opportunity to become a free agent and have the same level of flexibility he was afforded in 2010, when he signed with Miami after spending his first seven years in Cleveland," according to an ESPN report.
