City of Santiago screams for Chile during World Cup

Spain's goalkeeper Iker Casillas blocked a free kick by Alexis Sanchez by punching the ball away, but that didn't dampen Chile's happiness.

SANTIAGO, Chile, June 19 (UPI) -- When Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez was awarded with a free-kick during the match against Spain, YouTube user Manuel Vásquez caught it on film.

Spain's goalkeeper Iker Casillas blocked a free-kick by Sanchez by punching the ball away, but that didn't stop Chile. They beat Spain 2-0, creating a major upset by taking Spain out of the running for the World Cup.
