Earlier Sunday, Boomer White's go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning lifted TCU over Texas Tech in a 3-2 final.

The Rebels only recorded one hit against Virginia starter Nathan Kirby, though they scratched a run across in the eighth on Holt Perdzock's RBI groundout to even things at 1-1.

Joe McCarthy singled in the game's first run against Ole Miss starter Chris Ellis in the fifth inning.

Sunday's first game was also a pitchers' duel.

After Texas Tech took a 2-1 lead in the away half of the eighth, TCU scored two runs off reliever Johnny Drozd.

The Red Raiders will square off against Ole Miss on Tuesday.
