Oribe Peralta scored the lone goal at the Estadio das Dunas on Friday to hand Mexico three points in its Group A opener with a 1-0 defeat of Cameroon.

Giovani Dos Santos had two first-half goals disallowed, but El Tri managed to bounce back from adversity with Peralta tucking home a 61st-minute shot from close range.
