Reid Brignac slammed a game-winning three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Philadelphia Phillies a 3-0 win over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park. With Nick Vincent (0-2) on the mound, Domonic Brown worked a one-out walk and Carlos Ruiz was hit by a pitch. Brignac then drove a 2-0 pitch well over the wall in right for the victory. Jonathan Papelbon (2-1) got the win for pitching a flawless ninth to back eight stellar frames from Cole Hamels, who struck out 11 while walking one and giving up five hits. The Phillies have won the first two games of the three-game series -- their first back-to-back victories since taking three straight from May 17-20. Tyson Ross was equally effective for San Diego as he gave up four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts over seven innings.

Final Score: Milwaukee 3, New York 1
