The Seattle Mariners activated first baseman/outfielder Logan Morrison from the 15-day disabled list prior to Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees.
To clear a roster spot for Morrison, the Mariners placed first baseman Justin Smoak on the 15-day DL.

The 26-year-old Morrison, obtained in a trade with Miami over the winter, was 3-for-20 in eight games for the Mariners prior to his hamstring injury, which surfaced prior to an April 14 game at Texas.
Smoak, who is dealing with a strained left quad, is batting .208 with 12 doubles, seven homers and 29 RBI in 63 games this season.
