The Los Angeles Clippers have been apparently sold for a record $2 billion, according to a story in the Los Angeles Times on Thursday.

The NBA previously announced a hearing for next week regarding embattled owner Donald Sterling and his lifetime ban from the league for his racially charged comments that were taped by his girlfriend and sent to media outlets.
