Behind Bartolo Colon's best start of the season, the New York Mets claimed their first series win at home in a month by coming away with a 5-0 triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Colon (4-5) racked up a season-best nine strikeouts -- including the 2,000th of his career -- while limiting the Pirates to five hits and a walk over 7 1/3 sharp innings.

David Wright and Lucas Duda supplied the offense to help the Mets take the rubber match of the three-game set, with Wright finishing 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBI and Duda belting a two-run shot and scoring twice.

Hurt by four walks and a pair of Pittsburgh errors, Pirates starter Charlie Morton (1-7) was dealt the loss after being reached for three runs -- two earned -- over 5 1/3 innings.
