PGA TOUR - THE MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT, Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dublin, Ohio -- Jack Nicklaus welcomes the PGA Tour to his home course this week at Muirfield Village.
Last year, Matt Kuchar closed with a 4-under 68 to beat Kevin Chappell by two strokes for his second win of the 2013 season and sixth of his career.
Kuchar is having another strong season with nine top-10 finishes, including his seventh tour win at the Heritage. He finished second in Houston and shared fifth at the Masters.
New world No. 1 Adam Scott will join Kuchar at Muirfield this week. Scott took over the top spot in the world rankings last Monday, and rallied to win at Colonial over the weekend. They are two of seven players ranked in the top 25 in the world who are playing this week.
Jason Day, who has been out since the Masters with a thumb injury, is hoping to return to action this week.
Nicklaus invited Michael Kim, Justin Thomas and Justin Lower, who are all former winners of the Jack Nicklaus Award as top collegiate golfer.
Golf Channel will have full television coverage the first two days and early action on the weekend before handing off to CBS.
The PGA Tour heads to Memphis next week for the St. Jude Classic, where Harris English held off Phil Mickelson and Scott Stallings by two strokes last year.
EUROPEAN TOUR
NORDEA MASTERS, PGA Sweden National, Malmo, Sweden -- The European Tour heads to Sweden this week for the Nordea Masters, and new world No. 2 Henrik Stenson will headline the home contingent.
Boosted by a second-round 63, Mikko Ilonen rolled to a 3-shot win over Jonas Blixt last year. The win was Ilonen's third on the European Tour.
This season, Ilonen has missed three cuts in 11 starts worldwide. He finished second in Qatar, then tied for fifth in Dubai. Ilonen has been hit or miss as of late, as he has missed the cut, tied for eighth, missed the cut and tied for 38th in his last four starts.
Blixt joins Stenson in trying to get the title of this event back in Swedish hands. Blixt has played mostly on the PGA Tour this season and tied for second at the Masters. His next-best finish was a share of 16th at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
Stenson won the season-ending events on both the PGA and European Tours last year, but his win in Dubai last November stands as his last victory. He has four top-10 finishes this season, the best being a fourth-place finish last December at the Nedbank Challenge.
Other Swedes in the field this week include Peter Hanson, Alex Noren and Robert Karlsson, who made his 500th European Tour start last week at Wentworth.

The European Tour shifts to Austria next week for the Lyoness Open, where Joost Luiten beat Thomas Bjorn by two strokes last year.
LPGA TOUR
SHOPRITE LPGA CLASSIC, Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club (Bay Course), Galloway, New Jersey -- The LPGA heads to the Jersey Shore this week for the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
World Golf Hall of Fame member Karrie Webb closed with a 3-under 68 last year and rallied to win by two strokes over Shanshan Feng.
Annika Sorenstam, Juli Inkster, Betsy King, Se Ri Pak and Nancy Lopez -- all Hall of Famers in their own right -- have also won this title.
Webb was five shots back at the start of the day, but rallied past Feng, who struggled to a 4-over 75 in the final round.
Webb will have her hands full this week as 18 of the top 20 players from the world ranking will be at Seaview.

The LPGA heads to Canada next week for the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic, where Hee Young Park downed Angela Stanford in a playoff last year.
CHAMPIONS TOUR
PRINCIPAL CHARITY CLASSIC, Wakonda Club, Des Moines, Iowa -- The Champions Tour takes a break from major championship golf to tee it up at the Principal Charity Classic.
Russ Cochran topped a crowded leaderboard last year as he closed with back-to- back 67s to win by one over Jay Don Blake. Blake was one of 13 players who finished within four strokes of Cochran.
The win was Cochran's fifth on the senior circuit. He is coming off a 12th- place finish at the Senior PGA Championship, which matched his second-best finish of the season.
Kenny Perry and Colin Montgomerie won the senior majors the last two weeks, but neither is teeing it up this week. Nor is Bernhard Langer, who tops the money list and the Charles Schwab Cup standings.

The Champions Tour shifts to Missouri next week for a revamped Legends of Golf, where Brad Faxon and Jeff Sluman will defend their title on a par-3 course.
PGA TOUR CANADA
PC FINANCIAL OPEN, Point Grey Golf & Country Club, Vancouver, British Columbia -- The PGA Tour Canada finally kicks off its season this week with a new event in Vancouver.
The tour has played at Point Grey before for a different event.
Three of the top 10 money winners from last season -- Riley Wheeldon, Wil Collins and Joe Panzeri -- are in the field this week.
The tour shifts to Victoria next week for the Bayview Place Island Savings Open, where Stephen Gangluff closed with back-to-back 66s last year to win by two strokes.
