Both snaps winless drought in the Philippines

Marcus Both carded a 2-under 70 on Sunday to claim the title of the ICTSA Philippine Open.

Both, who was playing on a sponsor's invite after losing his Asian Tour card last season, finished the tournament at 6-under-par 282. It was his third career win on the Asian Tour and first since the 2009 Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open.

"Words can't describe how it feels from being an invite to a winner this week. I have to thank ICTSI and the Asian Tour for giving me the invite. To come away with the trophy is amazing. I'm a bit lost for words," Both said.

Siddikur Rahman (69), Nathan Holman (70), Antonio Lascuna (70), Arnond Vongvanij (70) and Jay Bayron (72) shared second place at 4-under.

Tung-shu Hsieh (70) finished in seventh at 3-under 285.

Both birdied the second, fifth and seventh before tripping to a bogey at the eighth to make the turn at 6-under.

He later rolled in back-to-back birdies at the 15th and 16th to reach 8-under and stretch his lead to three strokes.

He would bogey the 17th and 18th to fall back to minus-6, but no one was able to take advantage as he hung on for the win.
