Khris Davis' game-winning two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the rubber match of a three-game set Thursday.

Ryan Braun led off the ninth with a single before Mark Melancon (1-2) walked Jonathan Lucroy and Mark Reynolds to load the bases with none away. Davis stepped up next and his broken-bat flare into shallow center plated Braun and Lucroy.

Rob Wooten (1-1) fired 1 1/3 scoreless innings to notch the win.
