Braun activated from DL

The Milwaukee Brewers activated outfielder Ryan Braun from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

Braun has been on the DL retroactive to April 27 with a right oblique strain.

The former NL MVP is batting .318 with six home runs, 18 RBI and a .361 on- base percentage in 22 games this season.

The Brewers placed third baseman Aramis Ramirez on the 15-day DL on Tuesday because of a left hamstring injury. Ramirez is batting .252 with five homers and 21 RBI in 34 games this season.

Milwaukee also optioned outfielder Caleb Gindl to Triple-A Nashville and recalled infielder/outfielder Elian Herrera from Nashville.
