Phillies option Galvis

The Philadelphia Phillies have optioned infielder Freddy Galvis to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

To fill the roster spot, Philadelphia selected the contract of infielder Reid Brignac from Lehigh Valley, where he was hitting .284 with five home runs and 21 RBI in 30 games. Brignac hit two homers Thursday.

Galvis had just two hits in 42 at-bats this year.
