NEW YORK, May 9 (UPI) -- Michael Sam has yet to be drafted into the NFL, but he's already signed his first endorsement deal.

The SEC Defensive Player of the Year, who came out in an interview in February, appears in a new Visa ad.

"We felt that Michael's story was a perfect fit for our 'everywhere' campaign, which is meant to inspire people to reach their own personal goals and aspirations," Kevin Burke, chief marketing officer at Visa, told ESPN. "We wish Michael the best on and off the field as he embarks on the next chapter of his life."

"Judge me for what I do on the field," Sam says in the clip.
