Ben Lovejoy's late third-period goal proved to be the difference as the Anaheim Ducks beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on Thursday night at Staples Center.

Corey Perry and Teemu Selanne each scored power-play goals for the Ducks, who trimmed the Kings' lead in this Western Conference semifinal series to 2-1.

Jonas Hiller made seven saves in the final 9:58 after rookie Frederik Andersen left with a right leg injury for the Ducks, who recovered from two losses in Anaheim.

Jeff Carter and Mike Richards scored for Los Angeles, which had outscored its opponents 24-8 during a six-game winning streak. Jonathan Quick stopped 19 shots in defeat.
