Drew Stubbs' solo home run in the top of the ninth inning broke the deadlock and made the Colorado Rockies a 5-4 winner over the Arizona Diamondbacks in middle test of a three-game set.

Stubbs pinch-hit for the pitcher spot to lead off the ninth and delivered his first home run as a Rockie off of Addison Reed (0-2). LaTroy Hawkins pitched around a pair of singles to secure his ninth save of the season.

Boone Logan (1-0) served up A.J. Pollock's eight-inning home run that tied it at 4-4, but earned his first win of the season regardless.

Troy Tulowitzki finished 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored for the Rockies, while Justin Morneau and Nolan Arenado each had two hits and an RBI.

Miguel Montero, Eric Chavez and Chris Owings all had a pair of hits for Arizona, which has lost four in a row on the heels of a three-game winning streak.

Montero's leadoff double in the second started a two-run inning off Colorado starter Tyler Chatwood. Montero moved to third on Chatwood's error and scored on Aaron Hill's sacrifice fly to left. Chavez then drew a walk and came around to score on Owings' two-bagger down the left-field line.

The lead didn't last long, however, as Morneau and Arenado each drove in a run in the top of the fourth to tie it. Tulowitzki got things started with a single to center, Morneau followed with his first triple of the season and Arenado singled up the middle.

Chavez gave Arizona another brief lead with his RBI single in the fourth, but the Rockies went on top on Tulowitzki's opposite field blast to right in the sixth.
