Califronia Chrome leads 21 entered for 140th Kentucky Derby

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Probable favorite California Chrome is one of 21 3-year-olds who have been entered for Saturday's 140th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. Post positions for the 1 1/4-mile first jewel of racing's Triple Crown will be drawn later today beginning at 5 p.m. ET.

The $2 million Run for the Roses will have a maximum field of 20 3-year-olds. The also eligible horse can draw into the field if any of the 20 original starters is scratched by Friday morning at 9 a.m. ET.

Here are the horses entered for the 140th Kentucky Derby in order of preference by points earned on the "Road to the Kentucky Derby": California Chrome, Vicar's in Trouble, Dance With Fate, Wicked Strong, Samraat, Danza, Hoppertunity, Intense Holiday, Wildcat Red, We Miss Artie, Ride On Curlin, Chitu, Tapiture, General a Rod, Medal Count, Candy Boy, Uncle Sigh, Vinceremos, Harry's Holiday and Commanding Curve. Pablo Del Monte is the also eligible.
