Seahawks reward Thomas with multi-year extension

April 28, 2014 at 5:57 PM   |   Comments

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The Seattle Seahawks have apparently made safety Earl Thomas the highest paid player at his position.

Multiple outlets reported that a deal was struck on Monday, while sources told NFL.com that the new pact is worth $40 million over four seasons, with $27.725 million guaranteed.

A three-time Pro-Bowl selection who helped lead the "Legion of Boom" Seahawks secondary during Seattle's Super Bowl season last year, Thomas has racked up 345 tackles and 15 interceptions over 64 games with the franchise since arriving in 2010.
