The anxiety level in South Beach was ramped up for a few seconds after LeBron James was seen clutching his left leg underneath the basket in the third quarter.

A hobbled James dispatched any worries shortly thereafter.

James had 31 points, nine assists and seven rebounds and the Miami Heat swept the Charlotte Bobcats, 109-98, on Monday night to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

James took a knee to his left thigh from seven-foot center Bismack Biyombo at the 8:43 mark of the third quarter as he attempted to back Biyombo down along the left baseline. After losing the ball out of bounds, James limped to the Heat bench during a timeout and received treatment on the thigh.

He returned to the contest with a vengeance, jumpstarting a 12-4 Heat run with the first seven points that staked them to a seven-point advantage.

Miami was never seriously threatened again, earning its second straight first- round sweep.
